How to credit
There are a couple different ways to credit an icon maker in the icon comments/keywords, but this is how I prefer you to do it:

Concerning Affiliates
I'm always happy to have new affiliates. If you'd like to be one, just leave a comment here and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. All I ask is that you link to me somewhere in your user info or journal.
Oh, and if your icon journal is just starting out? That's fine! I'd still love to affililate--everyone starts somewhere.
Edit, as of 01/13/06: A couple of my affiliates have deleted their journals lately, so I'm adding this. If you delete your LJ without telling me anything, sooner or later you'll be removed from my list. If it's just a temporary thing and you don't want to be removed, let me know here since there's no guarantee that I'll see the post you make in your journal before you delete.

Concerning Requests
If you'd like me to make you an icon, just drop me a line. You can provide any or all of the following: image, text, design, decoration, color, and anything else. You don't have to give me all of them, but if you tell me what image and text you want, it helps a lot.

Posting multiple requests at once is fine. Just no more than five at a time. Closed.

Oh, yay! Billy all over the place!

I was wondering if you could make me one that has something to do with the commentary...Billy always says "I love Minas Tirith" and Dom says "SHUT IT!" It was hilarious.

Hey. As you know we're affiliates. I'm commenting because I'm working on a special post in which I list all of my affiliates. I would like it to be something more than a simple list of names. I'd like to have written next to your name, the main fandoms you icon, and also one teaser icon (which I would host on my own server of course). That way, people could discover other icon-makers when browsing my affiliate list. Due to my huge number of affiliates, I don't have the time to browse through your memories to see what your main fandoms are... I'd be grateful if you could list them for me, and if you agree, if you could link me to one of your icons you think is representative of your work :)

My main fandoms: Lord of the Rings Trilogy (and all its actors), Pirates of the Caribbean, Spider-man, Troy, Harry Potter, Phantom of the Opera, and also animals.

Your icons are so beautiful and, since we share a lot of the same interests, I've decided to friend you to keep track of all the excellent stuff you're creating. (As someone who wishes she knew more about making icons and other graphics, I can't tell you how much I appreciate the tutorials and other tips).

I've seen a great line posted at a few of the Anakin Skywalker communities around here - "if this is the Dark Side, pray we never find the light" - and I would love to have that put on an icon with a picture of Anakin from Revenge of the Sith - preferably one of the close-ups where he's wearing the hood, but any good picture of him will do.

I would be extraordinarily grateful to you if you could make such an icon. But that's only if you have the time and inclination to do so; if you're too busy to do so at the moment, no problem.

Hi! Er, I just found you, and I must say that your icons are very, very nice. I don't friend that many icon journals, but I friended yours. Your tutorials have been very helpful -- I hope you make more soon.
